A friend of mine was getting beat up for choosing an Android phone over the iPhone. Seriously? Five minutes with each shows that they are very much equal regarding capabilities. It really sucks we can’t think for ourselves anymore. We can’t have an opinion outside the norm anymore. It feels like those body snatcher movies where once the (i)Pod people see you have a Zune they all point and squeal calling the mother alien down on you. Get a freaking grip you tools. I find it funny and sad, mostly sad, that the fans are so gung ho about a company who charges you to “Think Different” and yet all get right in line like cattle.

All the things I love about technology are slowly becoming the things I hate. We have all these tools to come together and really make that Star Trek future happen but seem hell bent on Animal Farm.

My take on the iPad, late it may be but anyways. It appears to me that Apple is weening us up instead of out. In a few short years they will invent the laptop or desktop and smoke and mirror that shit to everyone. They’ve done an outstanding job putting an i in front every peripheral out there and selling a ton but yet the big ticket (Macbooks etc) item lacks market share. I appreciate great software and hardware as much as the next geek but the “Cult” gets a little old and feels a lot like the kid getting made fun of because his shoes aren’t up to the standard. The iPad is a netbook. It’s also another channel for the elitist Apple bullshit to clog up the web. Thanks for reading my contribution :)
